Drug addict stabs pregnant woman to death in Kogi

The life of a pregnant young woman has been cut down by drug addict in Idogido town, Okenne Local Government Area of Kogi State, because she cautioned him on his wayward lifestyle, especially being a Muslim who should be observing the Holy Month of Ramadan.

According to the news report, the lady who was said to be six-months pregnant, was allegedly stabbed with a knife on Monday, July 4, by the man who was high on drugs at the time he committed the sordid crime.

However, another account has it that the killer was actually the deceased estranged wife and they were always at loggerheads over his addiction and drunkenness and on the day of the incident, he had come home high as usual and when the woman confronted him, he brought out the knife and stabbed her to death.

The deceased, according to the report, has been buried according to Islamic rites while the suspect has been arrested by the police and is currently cooling his heels in police custody.
