Seun Egbegbe: Toyin Aimakhu’s ex gets bitten by his words
Seun Egbegbe who used to date Toyin Aimakhu takes back his veiled threats at the actress.
It’s nice to Seun Egbegbe eating his words. After making a veiled threat at his ex lover Toyin Aimakhu a few months ago, he has had to go back on his words.
The movie producer not only apologized for his words but also signed a police undertaking not to disturb Toyin Aimakhu. He wrote “I
am repeating it, no producer must deal with her again. Any producer
that doesn't heed the warning will find him or herself to blame. It's
not a threat, it's a promise.”
Seun Egbegbe, who was asked to report to the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, on Monday, May 16, 2016, has now agreed to desist from disturbing the actress.
As for his apology Seun Egbegbe of Ebony Films wrote “I
hereby regret any inconveniences i might have caused Toyin Aimakhu.
she's is an A-list actress, anyone who wants to do business with her
should deal with her as a celebrated artist. I wish her the best.”
This is a lovely
conclusion to Seun Egbegbe and Toyin Aimakhu’s drama that has dragged on
for too long. Egbegbe had been making threats at Toyin Aimakhu after
they split and it was rumoured that he once kidnapped her.
Speaking to Punch in April, Seun Egbegbe said “I am not on speaking terms with her any longer and whenever I lay my eyes on her, I won’t take it easy with her.” Also in April, the movie producer spoke to Encomium and made his infamous warning “I
am also using this medium to warn all movie producers to stay away from
her. Anybody that deals with her, the person is on his or her own. And I
will act appropriately.”
Wow
it’s good to see Seun Egbegbe like this. He has taken a chill pill
after the police got involved. Hmmm...even though I believe the Nigeria
Police Force shouldn't wade into beef between the celebrities, the Toyin
Aimakhu vs Seun Egbegbe was on the edge of getting nasty. Egbegbe did
make threats at the actress and it had to be taken seriously.
I
think we need to beg Toyin Aimakhu and Seun Egbegbe to finally end
this. This story has gone past its expiration date. Both parties should
move on. They have all made commitments to keep quiet, and they should
honour it.
